Our Project

The Marriott Resort & Spa , is located approx. 40 km from the city of Jammu which is also where the nearest Airport is located. It is about 10km from the city center and The Vaishno Shrine is 18.5 kilometer from the site. The City has a very strong Local Culture and Religious sentiments attached , and that has been the inspiration for the Design of the Interior spaces , which reflect local geography , History and ritualistic Symbolism. This was a very important part in the development of the Architecture as well as Aesthetics of the Interior Design.

The Story

“The Mythological Story and BELIEF leads millions of Pilgrims to throng the arduous journey of the Mountain to reach the Destination HOLY CAVE to achieve a Glimpse of Salvation residing in the Holy ROCKS.”

This story and Belief forms the basis of Design and is Metamorphosed into a Symbolic gesture using different Forms & Medium to enthrall the Guests . The gesture is focused on The Central Sculpture , The Reception cavern , The Flower Chandelier , The clover leaf Partition

The Reception

Built in Cave-like situation with Veneered tetrahedron shapes enveloping the space.

The Central Sculpture

This feature symbolizes the ROCK – with random inscriptions in ancient Indian texts without any direct Context Lends a Mystic Aura to the installation.

An Architectural Lounge-seat surrounds the Installation Podium Built in Mandala form

The Chandelier

An offering of Flowers on the Shrine , an IMMEDIATE GESTURE bringing forth a sub-conscious reminiscence of the Ritual. The Banyan tree , its Props inspired into forms of Screen with composed of Linear Elements Offering of Flowers onto in-animated stone to give rise to a BELIEF That is Symbolized & Translated as a Design concept

Design Zoning & Concept the Three Peak Kitchen

Main F&B floor , The all-Day Dining & Coffee shop An approximate seating area of 124 pax with unobstructive Views in all direction, Especially towards the Trikuta hills.

The floor is laid-out with a provision for 2 separate segments for accommodating non-busy hours with a minimum seating Pop-Up Restaurant .

The active Kitchens are assorted and spread out to create interest and is supported by a main Kitchen located on upper floor with service connectivity.

A part of the guest seating is also facilitated with an all-weather seating arrangement by virtue of selective openable panels as part of Interior detailing.

Environment : Casual with a strong element of concept of reviving the ancient art of Kashmir Pottery , a state Heritage
